- Born in Barbados, immigrated to Canada in 1988
- Lives in Guelph, Ontario, Canada
- Husband to an amazing and entrepreneurial wife, Annie
- Father of two energetic children, Kyle and Anastasia
- Has 13 brothers and sisters who live in the UK, USA, Canada,
and Barbados
- Has at least 21 nieces and nephews, including two great
nieces and two great nephews
- Has at least 22 cousins and 16 aunts and uncles
- I have an amazing group of friends who have all added so
much to my life
- Played cricket as a child and spent hours dreaming of
becoming one of the greats
- Has always been fascinated by the world around me but has a
special passion for the sea perhaps because for the first 14
years of my life I lived only a three-minute walk from the
turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea
- I love tall ships and enjoy sailing
- I am a big jazz fan and especially enjoy the sounds and
stylings of Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, Dina Washington, Miles
Davis, and Billie Holiday, to name a few
- I am a fan of sixties rock but refuse to be pinned to only a
few musical styles
- I’ve been told I like singing because I “don’t suck”

- I love Ethiopian food, Indian food, Vietnamese, and Korean
BBQ, amount others, and prefer the occasional glass of Riesling
or Moscato
- Not a fan of tomatoes but like ketchup
- Travelled to Egypt in 2012, fulfilling a life-long dream to
see the pyramids and learn more about ancient Egyptian culture
- Plays softball, golf, and competitive dodgeball – yes, I
said dodgeball
- Plays squash and I’m trying to master tennis
- I have done the CN Tower stair climb three times and next on
my list is running a 5K race and white-water rafting

- I am a Certified Wedding Officiant and a member of
OAPWO
(Ontario Association of Professional Wedding Officiants)
- I am a Director at a community health centre
- I was Co-chair of a community-based inter-organisation
network for five years
- l was President of the Board of Directors at a training
agency in Toronto for three years and a Board member for six
- I served as a Board Member at another social service agency
in Toronto for two years
- Once worked in sales and marketing for a technology firm
- Have officiated over 40 wedding ceremonies since 2014
- Undergraduate studies in Theology and Psychology
- Recently started working on an MBA in Leadership and
Management

- I am passionate about community development and building
capacity in some of society’s most vulnerable individuals
- I am passionate about working with young people and seeing
them become persons of character who challenge, are competent,
confident, and contribute to the well-being of society and
people around them
